Realization Oversight
Direct involvement during realization to maintain clarity, coherence, and fidelity to the original landscape vision.
REWILD Plus bridges the space between design and built work. We stay engaged through implementation to help ensure the landscape is executed with precision, sensitivity, and a strong understanding of the intended atmosphere and design language. This may include coordination around planting, materials, detailing, and site adjustments. Our role is to help the finished landscape feel resolved, balanced, and fully aligned with the original concept.
Key Capabilities
- Construction coordination: planting, materials, detailing, and site adjustments through implementation.
- On-site review: planting, grading, hardscape detailing, and overall composition checked in the field.
- Other firms' designs: also offered on projects designed by other landscape architects or architects.
- Design fidelity: keeps field compromises from degrading the original concept.
Frequently Asked
About Realization Oversight
What is realization oversight in landscape design?
Realization oversight is the process of maintaining design fidelity during construction and installation. Through Rewild Plus, the studio stays closely involved during implementation — coordinating planting, materials, detailing, and site adjustments to ensure the finished landscape feels resolved, balanced, and fully aligned with the original design concept rather than degraded by field compromises.
Why is realization oversight important for landscape projects?
Landscapes are uniquely vulnerable to quality loss during construction because living materials, site conditions, and installation sequence affect the final result in ways that drawings alone cannot control. Rewild Landscape's realization oversight ensures that planting composition, material transitions, and spatial relationships are refined on site — preserving the atmosphere and precision of the design as it becomes built reality.
Does Rewild offer realization oversight for projects designed by other firms?
Yes. Rewild Plus offers realization oversight both for Rewild's own designs and for projects originally designed by other landscape architects or architects. The studio brings experienced field judgment to any project where maintaining design quality through construction is critical, reviewing planting, grading, hardscape detailing, and overall composition.
