A renewal of two New York City terraces with layered evergreen planting, seasonal texture, and a calm green palette.
Seen through the large interior windows, the terraces become a landscape to enjoy year-round. Deep green boxwoods give the planting its structure, while the pale trunks of birch trees, ferns, and shifting foliage create the feeling of a small northeastern woodland. As autumn gives way to winter, the birches remain a quiet presence against the evergreens, keeping the view inviting even when the terraces are enjoyed from indoors.
In summer, white hydrangeas soften the composition and bring a familiar East Coast elegance, with a hint of the Hamptons. The result is a landscape that feels established and intimate, with a different character in every season.
