Landscape Architecture and Planting Design Studio
REWILD Landscape is a woman-led landscape architecture and planting design studio founded by Marie Salembier, a French-trained landscape architect and horticulturist. The practice creates sophisticated residential, hospitality, commercial, and cultural landscapes defined by sensory richness and ecological intelligence. Rewild's design methodology bridges ecology, architecture, and atmospheric quality, shaping landscapes that feel immersive, refined, and deeply rooted in their site. Based in New York City and the Hamptons, Marie's studio serves clients across the Northeast United States and internationally — including projects in France, England, and Asia.
Rewild Landscape is the continuation of Watson Salembier, the practice Marie co-founded with landscape designer Julia Watson in 2020 and which produced the early rewilded American Meadow installations at Rockefeller Center. Under Marie's sole leadership, Rewild has deepened its focus on rewilding, native plant communities, biodiversity restoration, and seasonal stewardship. Notable projects include the Channel Gardens at Rockefeller Center, the Cartier SoHo Terrace, 144 Vanderbilt Avenue in Brooklyn (covered by The New York Times), The Surrey Hotel terrace, and residential estates across Long Island, Connecticut, and the Hamptons.
Our commitment does not end at installation. We remain involved as each landscape matures — guiding refinement, seasonal stewardship, and long-term care so the place becomes more resonant, biodiverse, and beautiful with time.

Founder & Principal Designer
Marie Salembier is a French-trained landscape architect and horticulturist, and the founder and principal designer of Rewild Landscape. She studied horticulture at the New York Botanical Garden's School of Professional Horticulture and holds an advanced degree in landscape architecture, which she combines with hands-on field practice across residential, hospitality, cultural, and public-realm projects. Before founding Rewild, Marie co-founded Watson Salembier with landscape designer Julia Watson in 2020 — the partnership behind the rewilded American Meadow installations at Rockefeller Center. She launched Rewild Landscape under her sole leadership to deepen the studio's focus on rewilding, native planting, and ecological design. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, Forbes, Dezeen, CN Traveller, Haute Living, Goodee, and Rockefeller Center Magazine, and she is recognized internationally for biophilic and ecologically intelligent planting design.
Our Approach
“Each project begins with a close reading of the land — its ecology, its light, and its history — shaping landscapes that are both refined and deeply rooted in their environment.”
