For Pride Month at Rockefeller Center, Rewild reimagined the Channel Gardens as a vibrant green corridor—an immersive promenade where planting and hardscape work as one. Layered, resilient planting supports birds and pollinators while softening the city with texture, movement, and seasonal character. Set within one of New York’s most iconic public landscapes, the installation invites visitors to slow down, gather, and experience a more biodiverse, life-filled urban room.
The Channel Gardens at Rockefeller Center act as a green corridor contributing to the weaving of a network of urban parks and gardens that offer habitats and food for birds and various pollinators. Showcasing plant species that serve a multitude of ecosystem services in one of the most affluent locations in the world will inspire the public to enjoy and create gardens that best serve the wildlife and overall sustainability.
