A private garden in the Passy neighborhood of Paris.
In the Passy neighborhood of Paris, Rewild designed a private garden that brings ecological intelligence to an urban European context. The project demonstrates the studio's commitment to naturalistic planting and layered plant communities, adapting its rewilding philosophy to the specific climate and cultural landscape of the French capital. Rather than imposing a predetermined aesthetic, Rewild worked to understand the site's potential and create conditions for diverse species to thrive within the constraints of an urban setting. The design reflects the studio's core belief that beauty and ecological function are inseparable, and that even intimate private gardens can serve as meaningful contributions to urban biodiversity. For international commissions, Rewild approaches each project as an opportunity to foster stewardship of place through thoughtful design grounded in local ecological knowledge.
