Marie, working in collaboration with Gunn Landscapes, created a year-round thriving ecosystem on a NYC rooftop. The design favored the use of grasses and low, native plantings from the NY region, building a rich, pollinator-friendly, zero-maintenance, water-friendly landscape in a challenging micro-environment. The site is located on the penthouse level of 1 Jackson Square, an extremely windy corridor at the intersection of 8th avenue, Greenwich Avenue and 14th Street, in Lower Manhattan.
